Nicole I really liked how you analyzed the metaphor in the story and broke it down to the real decision that was made that day.  It was a hard choice the man had to make and yes I agree with you that he made the wrong one.  Likewise to what you said, I believe that when a person knows what is right and makes the wrong choice, they have to suffer and live with that guilt for their whole life.  Sometimes we make choices in an effort to represent something bigger than us, but in the end.. they wont remember us, the only remembrance is that guilt we still carry.  In contrast to that, if we do whats right and stand up to the &quot;norm&quot; we wont have the guilt, and your choice and statement will be remembered by others.</description>
